Center of Excellence

A Drone Research Lab is a specialized laboratory in engineering colleges where students and faculty work on design, development, programming, and research of drones (UAV – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
This lab is commonly used in departments like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electronics, Aerospace, and Data Science.
A drone is a flying device without a pilot inside.
It can be controlled by:

  • Remote control
  • Computer program
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • GPS navigation

In Drone Research Lab the students can learn and do research on Drone design, Drone programming, Drone communication, Drone automation AI-based drone control and Image processing using drones.

The Intel Unnati AI Centre of Excellence is an advanced learning and research facility established in
collaboration with Intel to promote skills in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, and
High-Performance Computing among students and faculty members. These centres are usually set up in
engineering colleges to strengthen industry–academia collaboration.

Intel Unnati is a training and innovation program by Intel that aims to:

  • Train students in AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
  • Provide industry-level tools and platforms
  • Encourage research, innovation, and project development
  • Prepare students for future technology careers

The main objectives are:

  • Provide hands-on training in AI & Data Science
  • Conduct workshops, hackathons, and internships
  • Develop real-world AI projects
  • Improve students’ placement opportunities
  • Support faculty research
  • Create industry-ready engineers
